Pirates expect Wandy Rodriguez to be ready for spring training

The Pirates expect Wandy Rodriguez to be available for spring training, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. “We fully expect he should be good to go in spring training,” general manager Neal Huntington said.

Rodriguez has been shut down for the remainder of the season due to elbow and forearm injuries. He finished the season with a 6-4 record, 3.59 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 46:12 K:BB ratio in 62 2/3 innings over 12 starts.
