Julio Teheran strikes out six in eighth loss

Braves pitcher Julio Teheran fell to 12-8 Sunday after giving up four earned runs on seven hits while striking out six and walking none in 6 2/3 innings in his team’s 4-0 loss to the Padres.

Teheran didn’t walk a batter for the first time since June 21 but did surrender two home runs, giving him 21 homers allowed over 28 starts. He takes a 3.14 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 160:45 K:BB ratio into Saturday’s matchup with the Cubs.
