Tyler Cloyd gives up five runs in loss

Phillies pitcher Tyler Cloyd fell to 2-5 in his team’s 11-2 loss to the Nationals Sunday after giving up five earned runs on 10 hits while striking out one and walking none in four innings.

Cloyd has been disastrous in his last two starts, surrendering 12 earned runs in eight innings to watch his ERA rise from 3.57 to 5.06. He also owns a 1.63 WHIP and 33:21 K:BB ratio going into Saturday’s potential start against the Mets.
